It’s here again. If you were fortunate enough to attend famed food photographer Edward Pond‘s inaugural Creative Chef challenge last year, then you know how excited we are to host this incredible event again. If not, here’s what you missed. It’s the perfect marriage of foodies and creatives, inviting advertising execs and art directors to step into the kitchen for the ultimate Chef’s challenge.
This year, Edward asked contestants to whip up their favourite recipe – one near and dear to their hearts; a recipe that made them fall in love with cooking. Though Creative Chef is entirely sold out, we still have two sets of two tickets in our hot little hands – and we’d love to give them to you! We’re asking you to take to twitter to tell us the dish that made you fall in love with cooking, using the hashtag #showyourroots. We’ll choose our favourite entries and announce the winners on Wednesday.
On Thursday, October 4 at 6pm, 9 finalists will compete in this year’s challenge, The Food Lover’s Quarrel, with corn playing the role of star ingredient in each signature dish. The judging panel features O&B Canteen & Luma’s Jason Bangerter, Caplansky’s Zane Caplansky and Mildred’s own Donna Dooher. Partake in a whiskey sipping social at its finest (cash bar will also be open), watch the creatives cook and present their dishes for judging, and enjoy tasty bites from Mildred’s kitchen.
